For Immediate
Release:
Ransen Software
Releases Photo To CAD/CAM Mesh Convertor.
You can use PhototoMesh
V2 to create three dimensional meshes from photographs or other digital
images. You can then import these meshes into three dimensional programs
like AutoCAD, Rhino, 3D Studio, SolidEdge etc. If you have access to milling
machines, you can use the meshes to create real 3D objects using StereoLithography.
Simply open the
photograph (or copy an image in from the clipboard) and then adjust the
sliders to get the mesh you require. The program features immediate visual
feedback in 3D so you get a quick preview of the object you are creating.
PhotoToMesh is
ideal for creating 3D relief objects from 2D images like logos, as well
as medals and other novelty items, for example custom jewellry.
The output can
be used to drive milling machines and other numerically controlled apparatus.
Among the parameters
you can set are the size of the mesh, the smoothing, the transfer function
and the upper/lower limits. Adjusting these parameters mean that the program
can eliminate tiny imperfections in the original 2D image which would
result in difficult to machine meshes.
The output file
formats are StereoLithography (STL, STLB) and AutoCAD (DXF).
The preview image
can also be saved as a normal bitmap file in JPG PNG etc.
A free time unlimited
demo version is available for download.
