3D viewing as faces lines and dots

Usually you view your solid as a solid, made up of thousands of tiny faces:

Sometimes you want to get an idea of the structure of the object, in that case you should reduce the x and y samples to something like 50 and use the view menu:

If you choose View as Dots the image will look something like this:

If you choose View as Lines the image will look something like this:

Remember to set the X Samples and Y Samples to a larger number after viewing. Here are two more examples:
