Positioning images on the surface of objects

This page explains how to set the position and size of an image on the object's surface.

 

To set how your image position and size on your object click on the "Image Placement..." button in the main dialog.

 

If you are doing a rectangular image which you want to over the whole object, without a frame, follow the red rectangles in the following screenshot:

This is the dialog which positions images on surfaces:

The red rectangle is the image, and the black rectangle is the object.

 

Simply move the horizontal and vertical sliders to change the size and position of the red rectangle on the object.

 

Here is an example with rectangular objects:

You can move the image to the top left of your rectangular object for example, as shown above.

 

If you have two images to place on a cylinder (for example) this image may help you understand how to orient them:

When positioning the inner image imagine you are inside the object looking at the inner surface. When placing a back image on a rectangular surface imagine you are behind the object looking at the backsurface of the object.
