Here is some easy to use software to read in survey text (.txt) files and save them as a DXF file (if you want). The basic idea is that you open the text file (or do a copy and paste via the clipboard) and select the format your data is in. Here is an image which shows you this more clearly:
As you can see it couldn't be easier! Well, to tell the truth, there is a tricky bit where you have to select the format to use, but the dialog box gives you immediate feedback so you can see which one gives you the right results. An example of a format would be x,y,z desc or 7.8, 9.3, 0.0 , Bob's shop 10.2, 11.6, 0.0, Angela's boutique and nulcear accellerator The dialog box for choosing formats is:
One you have the data in the program you can view it, zoom into it, and save it as a DXF file:
