Why Convert From CSV to DXF?
One of the main reasons for converting from CSV to DXF is incompatible systems. Maybe your CAD system does not read CSV files as graphics entities. Maybe the program or device you use to create the list of points is not compatible with your CAD system. Or maybe it is but not in the right format with the right seperators, layer names etc. Shown below is a graphical representation of the problem:
Fortunately there is a Windows (XP and Vista) program with a free demo which will do this work for you. It reads CSV format lists of points and converts them into DXF files, as shown below:
