Extracting heads from group photos

Here is an example of another use of RansenScan. Your old class photo contains many people, and you want to print the portraits of  some of them. Scan the whole photo and then select the heads you are interested in:

The last head extracted is at the bottom of the column, you can just about see the selection rectangle at the left of the main scan. Each of these portraits can be copied individually to the clipboard or saved individually. Double click on the sub images to make fine adjustments to position and size. Click on the color icon to change the sub images contrast and brightness etc.

 

Once you have selected the sub images you can also use the File | Setup Multiple Sub Images Printing... menu to get this dialog:

Of course you don't have to scan in the image, if the group photo is already in a file just open it using the File menu.
