Batch conversion of photometric files.

There are so many types of photometric files you'll probably end up sooner or later needing to convert from one type to another. For example from a IESNA .IES to an Eulumdat .LDT file. If you only have a few files to convert then follow this link. If you have a zillion files to convert, then read on!

The photometric viewer program PhotoView (not to be confused with the photographic program of the same name) has a batch mode, or rather a command line mode where you can tell it to read photometric files of one sort and save them as another. The command lines even allow you to change characteristics within the file before saving.

So if you can write a program which can repeatedly send commands to PhotoView then you can use the list of commands given below. All you have to do is call PhotoView.exe with the appropriate options. If you can't or don't have time to write your own program then OxyTech (the creators of PhotoView) can do it for you.
