This effect can add a beautiful circle or ellipse of colored light into your images. Here is a UFO hovering above a fisherman:

Note that since the vertical and horizontal radii have their own sliders you can squash and stretch the ellipse however you want, as you can see in the screeshot of the Ellipse of Light dialog below:
